+Q. Can I register my guiding services to more than one city?

Ans. Yes after login to your profile page you can enter in your secondary destination.

+Q. Can my company register?

Ans.Your registration to the site is that as a private tour guide (when customers book your services, it will be you guiding them and offering a tour as agreed upon) and not any other form of business provider.

Your account may be suspended for further investigation if you are using our site not for the purpose which the site serve but using it for any other reasons (i.e. posting other immaterial services or spamming) that are not connected / appropriate to the goal of offering guiding services on the site. Under such circumstances without further notice in the event that, in its judgment, you have violated these rules stated in our Terms & Conditions we reserve the right to immediately terminate your account.

+Q. How do I log in to the site?

Ans. In the top right hand corner on each page, there is a link “Already a Member? Then Sign In!” just press the link and then what you have to do is to simply enter your email address and password.

+Q. I cannot remember my password, what should I do?

Ans. By entering your email address, at anytime you can reset/change your password leaving the password field blank and then click "Forget Password".

Soon after you will receive a new temporary password on your mail. You will be asked to enter your own chosen password after signing into your account using your email address and this new temporary password. For better security you should change this with new password.

+Q. I have just registered as a tour guide on the website, what do I do next?

Ans. Introducing your qualifications, your tours and rates you will need to create a profile page. Your guiding services will not be available for public viewing without loading rates and at least one profile picture.

Login by entering your mail Id and password to enter your profile page. Please notice that as needed in your account there are up to ten tabs for you to update: Profile, Availability, Sightseeing Tours, Bookings, Client Reviews / Testimonials, Tours, Contacts.

+Q. I have registered to be a guide on your website, but I can't find my listing on the site?

Ans.You will require a complete profile page in order for your account and profile page to become active for clients to find and book your services on the website. Make sure that your profile page has guiding rates, at least one profile picture and that you have selected your member role as 'tour guide'.

+Q. How do I create the perfect profile page to draw in clients?

  • By uploading a copy of your license show your professional certification
  • Boast by writing an informative description of your guiding services and mention which association you belong to, your professional background, what attractions and things to do you recommend etc.
  • Through pictures of yourself, happy clients, memorable tours and beautiful attractions share your unforgettable experiences.
  • Introducing yourself and your guiding services invite clients through a YouTube video clip.
  • Bonjour - Ciao - Guten Tag - add a small paragraph in other languages to draw in multi-lingual clients if you also guide in other languages.

+Q. How do I upload my professional guiding license?

Ans. Please remember where you saved your image on your computer before proceeding with the upload. In a .jpg (jpeg) format the file must also be an image of your guiding license.

Please log in to your account and on the top of your profile you will see several tabs to upload a copy of your guide license. From there, simply click on the "Browse" button then select the file of the image of your license, then click "Upload."

+Q. Can I create my account now, but wait to upload my license?

Ans. Yes you can. Until you upload a copy of your license please note we will not activate your account and you will receive no bookings.

+Q. Does my license need to be current?

Ans. Yes of course. Do not upload expired or outdated licenses as we only accept current valid accreditation.

+Q. How can I upload a new image of my guiding license?

Ans. Please remember where you saved your image on your computer before proceeding with the upload. In a .jpg (jpeg) format the file must also be an image of your guiding license.

Please log in to your account and on the top of your profile you will see several tabs to upload an updated copy of your guide license. To remove the old image, from there, click the "Delete" button then simply click on the "Browse" button then select the file of the new image of your license, then click "Upload."

+Q. How do I upload a profile picture?

Ans. To upload a profile picture what you have to do is to log in to your account and on the right side of your profile page, click "Add profile photo". After selecting the photo which you wish to upload click "Save". This way you can upload several pictures.

Tips for uploading profile picture:

  • Choose a presentable and clear of yourself
  • Select pictures that are representative of your destination (i.e. landmarks and touristic attractions)
  • Upload pictures of your tours and happy customers
+Q. What should I write in my description?

Ans. Details of your guiding style, specialty and qualifications should be included as description on your profile page. Through your descriptions the clients have a better understanding of who you are, and what your tours will be like.

For demonstrating to clients what your tours could consist of and what attractions you recommend, the 'sample itinerary' section of your profile page is the best option and way out. Click "Save “after having entered in all your content/ description.

Description tips:

  • keep in mind that the words and facts you use will affect how the client reads your profile as your writing style can help show what kind of guide or person you are
  • to let Google find your profile page, and display it on their search results page don't forget to enter popular, relevant search keywords in your description and also to help increase search engine optimization (SEO)
+Q. How do I upload a YouTube video clip?

Ans.

  • Go to the YouTube website at http://www.youtube.com.
  • The video you would like to upload search it and click on it.
  • You will see a "Share" button located below the video once you are on the video page.
  • URL link that starts with 'http: //youtu.be' copy it
  • Paste this URL link into the video textbox provided by the “Tourist Guide in Varanasi” private tour guides and click on the green "Save" button. (Under construction)

+Q. I want to create a video clip as I don’t have. What should I do?

Ans.To create an account for you to save your videos go to YouTube.com

+Q. How to load my guiding rates?

Ans. To decide on their guiding rates it is up to the individual guide..

Log in to your account, and click on the 'Pricing' tab to upload your guiding rates. Select the pricing option(s) you feel is most suiting to your services and the currency you wish to be paid in. All three options need not to be select.

Click "Save” after entering in your guiding rates

+Q. How do I update my availability calendar?

Ans. To avoid any booking conflicts and unhappy client feedback it is recommended to keep your availability (days and hours) up-to-date.

Click the 'Availability' tab to add/delete unavailability dates. Find the date range you would like to edit and highlight it. You will see an arrow appear for you to click on after highlighting the date range. To delete or undelete the unavailability date range, click on the arrow.

+Q. How do I upload client testimonials?

Ans. Where you have saved the Word Document (.doc format) on your computer before uploading a testimonial, must be in your mind.

To upload clients' testimonials click on the 'Client Reviews/Testimonials' tab and then "Add Testimonial". Information regarding the testimonial you wish to upload will be promptly entered by you.

+Q. Where do client reviews and ratings come from?

Ans.A request for a review and rating from the client(s) will be triggered for bookings made through our site. Consequently \ your ranking on the listing page of your destination will be affected as and when they enter in their review and rating online and it will automatically appear on your profile page.

+Q. Can I remove bad client reviews?

Ans. All reviews will be posted on your profile page to remain true to our claim of "unbiased reviews". The client’s reviews cannot be removed unless and until their reviews deemed offensive and does not adhere to our Terms & Conditions..

+Q. Can I respond to a client review?

Ans. To let you can respond back to your reviews we have created this feature. If you have a review that you feel is unjustified and you wish to state your reasoning to the review this can be beneficial. It is also recommended to respond back to those wonderful reviews as well if you have great reviews.

Sign in and click on the "Client Reviews/Testimonials" tab in your account in order to respond to the reviews. To the review you wish to respond to click "Add/Edit Comments".

+Q. How will I know if I have a booking?

Ans. Via our onsite messaging system and your personal email account you will receive a booking confirmation (with the booking details).

+Q. How will clients contact me?

Ans. We request all communications prior to booking should be made via our onsite message system so as to ensure that both parties are protected and stick on to our Terms & Conditions. Through our onsite messaging system the clients will contact you. We will send you a notification to your email account when there is a new message in your onsite inbox otherwise you will get direct mail to your mail Id.

+Q. How do I respond on receiving an email notification that I have a new message?

Ans.You will get direct mail to your mail Id. Get in touch with them and send the detail and fix the booking.

+Q. Can I call the client that sent me a message? Or can I email them directly?

Ans. We request all communications prior to booking should be made via our on-site message system so as to ensure both parties are protected and stick on to our Terms & Conditions. All contact information (including address, phone number and email) is released after the confirmation of the booking for the safety of both our tour guides and our traveling customers. You can contact the client by clicking "reply" in your inbox or alternatively, create a new message (also found in your inbox) prior to the confirmation of the booking . (Under construction)

+Q. Where can I search for my sent mail?

Ans.In order to search your sent mail what you do is just sign in and click on the 'Outbox' tab. All the massages you have sent through our onsite messaging system can be seen in this section.

Enter a keyword or recipient into the "Search Outbox" field if you are searching for something in particular.

+Q. What is the purpose of the 'Contacts' tab in “Tourist Guide in Varanasi” website?

Ans. Your contact detail will be there, so that client could contact you either by Mail or by calling you.

+Q.How is the deposit calculated?

Ans.Rounded up to the nearest amount the deposit is approximately 20% of the total cost of your guiding rate. If the private tour guide is quoting EURO minimum deposit is 1 Euro or if the local private tour guide is quoting USD minimum deposit is 1.50 USD.

+Q.How do I get paid for my guiding services?

Ans. On the day of the scheduled tour by your client you get paid in cash

+Q. Can I get paid in other currencies?

Ans. Your preferred currency of payment you can select from a drop down menu on your profile page.
